Salary: Compensated with competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.

Law Firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be a licensed attorney with 5-8 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship law.

The Attorney will have a law degree from an ABA-approved law school and a current, active license to practice law in the state of Texas with no history of state bar investigations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom, and PracticePanther, as well as excellent communication and writing skills. The successful candidate will also be up-beat, self-starting, and have meticulous attention to detail and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and counsel to clients.
Create estate plans and other legal documents.
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
Represent clients in court.
Research and analyze legal issues.
Handle legal negotiations and transactions.
Attend mediations and hearings.
Prepare for and attend trials.
Maintain client files and records.
Stay abreast of changes in the law and legal developments.

Qualifications:

Law degree from an ABA-approved law school.
Current, active license to practice law in the state of Texas and no history of state bar investigations.
5 years of experience required with at least 3 years of experience in our main practice areas of estate planning and probate and estate administration.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom, and PracticePanther is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills, especially in emotional situations.
Excellent writing skills. Experience writing legal articles is preferred, but not required.
Up-beat, self-starter, who has meticulous attention to detail, common sense, and great interpersonal skills.
“Solutions-oriented” personality with an optimistic viewpoint even when faced with adversity.
Passion for helping others and getting to the root of a problem.
Enjoys the practice of law and desires further skillset development.
